How Much Does a Roofing Website Cost in 2026?
A roofing website in 2026 can cost a few hundred dollars a year on a DIY builder, a few thousand for a freelancer or small agency, and from roughly seven thousand to over twenty thousand dollars from an agency, depending on pages, storm and service-area content, and who writes the copy. The figures below are published ranges with their sources named, followed by my own pricing and a quick estimator so you can see where your project sits.
Every number on this page either comes from a named, linked source or from my own price list. Nothing is a made-up 'industry average'.
01 • the published numbers
What do roofing websites cost in 2026?
Two published sources give useful ranges. Project Cost Estimator, updated July 2026, lists US freelancer tiers for a roofer's website and a separate agency range. CodeWCG, a marketing agency, publishes its own view of the market from DIY to growth builds. They do not agree exactly, which is normal: they are measuring slightly different things.

| Starter (template, core pages) | $2,900 |
| Standard (custom design + key features) | $5,800 |
| Premium (full custom, integrations, content) | $8,700 |
| Agency range (overall) | $7,250–$21,750 |
US freelancer tiers; their stated basis is 600+ project quotes and rate benchmarks.
| DIY builder | $200–$500 per year |
| Budget freelancer / template | $500–$1,500 |
| Freelancer or small agency, 5–10 pages | $1,500–$3,500 |
| Professional agency build | $3,500–$7,000 |
| Growth build (location pages, schema, CRM) | $7,000–$10,000+ |
An agency's own published ranges.
Read the ranges as bands, not quotes. A 5-page site for a one-crew roofer and a 25-page site for a storm-restoration company with five service areas are different projects, even if both are called 'a roofing website'.
02 • what moves the price
What makes a roofing website cost more?
| Cost driver | Why it adds work | Can you skip it? |
|---|---|---|
| Number of pages | Each service and area page needs its own content and layout | Start with 5–8 pages and grow |
| Storm and insurance pages | Need careful wording, especially in Florida and Texas | Not if storm work is a big part of your business |
| Service-area pages | Each needs genuinely local content to be worth having | Yes, at first; add your top areas later |
| Copywriting | Writing clear service pages takes time | Only if you can write them well yourself |
| Photography | Real roof photos beat stock every time | Use your own phone photos to start |
| Estimate forms and integrations | Multi-step forms or CRM connections need setup and testing | A short form is enough for most roofers |
The biggest hidden cost is usually words. A designer can make a page look good in an afternoon. Writing a storm-damage page that is clear, honest and legal in your state takes longer, and it is the page that wins the job.

Your scope
Up to 5 pages
Mention this scope in the demo form below. I quote a fixed price after you see your free homepage demo.
The estimator uses my own price range only. It does not guess what other agencies would charge. When you request the free homepage demo, mention the scope you picked and I will quote a fixed price after you have seen the design.
04 • what you get at each level
What does a roofing website include at each budget?
Prices only make sense next to a scope. These three levels describe what is usually included at each point in the published ranges above. They are not my packages; they are a way to compare quotes like for like.
| Level | Typical pages | Usually included | Usually not included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 5–6: home, services, about, reviews, contact | Template design, tap-to-call, basic form, your photos | Storm pages, area pages, copywriting |
| Standard | 8–12: a page per main service plus storm | Custom design, estimate form, gallery, financing section | Many area pages, CRM integration |
| Growth | 15+: services, storm, several service areas | Local pages with real content, structured data, integrations | Ongoing SEO and ads (billed separately) |
When two quotes look far apart, line them up against this table. Often the cheaper one leaves out the writing, the storm page or the area pages, and the dearer one includes them. Neither is wrong; they are different jobs.
Watch for monthly add-ons
Some quotes look low because hosting, 'maintenance' or a required marketing package is billed monthly on top. Ask for the total cost over three years, including anything you must keep paying for the site to stay online.
05 • after launch
What ongoing costs should a roofer budget for?
- Domain name: renewed every year at your registrar.
- Hosting: anything from free tiers to a monthly plan, depending on how the site is built.
- Updates: new project photos, seasonal storm messages, changed phone numbers.
- Optional extras: SEO work, ads and review tools are separate costs, not part of the website itself.
CodeWCG puts DIY builders at roughly $200–$500 a year. A custom site usually costs more up front and less per month, because you are not renting the platform. If you are on a monthly website contract now, the rented website vs owning calculator shows what you have paid so far.
06 • the honest bit
Is a cheap roofing website worth it?
Sometimes, yes. If you are a one-person roofer who gets most work from referrals, a tidy DIY site with your phone number, three photos and your towns may be all you need for now. Spend the difference on a good Google Business Profile.
A cheap site becomes expensive when it costs you jobs. The usual ways that happens: the phone number is hard to tap on a phone, there is no storm page when storms hit, the site is too slow on mobile data, or you cannot edit it when something changes. Read the signs your roofing website needs a redesign to check yours.
07 • before you sign
What should a roofing website quote include?
- Exactly which pages are included
- Who writes the text, and how many rounds of changes you get
- Whether the domain will be registered in your name
- Who owns the design and code when the project ends
- What hosting costs after launch, and who pays it
- How long the build takes, and what you need to supply
If a quote is vague on ownership, ask again. The who owns my website guide explains why it matters when you change provider later.

questions
Frequently asked questions
01. How much does a roofing website cost?
+
Published ranges run from about $200–$500 a year for DIY builders, to a few thousand dollars for freelancers, to roughly $7,000–$21,750 for agencies (Project Cost Estimator, July 2026). Scope drives the price.
02. Why do roofing website quotes vary so much?
+
Page count, storm and service-area content, copywriting, photography and integrations change the amount of work. Two 'roofing websites' can be very different projects.
03. Is it cheaper to rent a roofing website monthly?
+
It is cheaper up front, but you keep paying, and you may not own the site when you leave. Run your own numbers in the rented vs owning calculator.
04. How long does a roofing website take to build?
+
A small site can be live in a couple of weeks once content is ready. Larger sites with many area pages take longer, mostly because of writing.
05. Does a roofing website need ongoing SEO?
+
Not to exist, but local search work and fresh project content help it get found. That is a separate cost from building the site.
