Weebly Online Store Shutting Down: What to Do Now
If you sold through a Weebly online store in one of the 67 affected countries, the store went offline with your site on 27 September 2026 and cannot be reopened on Weebly. Before login ends on 26 December 2026, save your product list, order history and customer details by hand or by export, then rebuild the shop on a new platform.
A shop is harder to move than a brochure site. The archive ZIP does not include a working store, so this page focuses on the data you cannot afford to lose.

What happens to my Weebly store in the shutdown?
Your store is part of your Weebly site, so it was unpublished with the site on 27 September 2026. Customers cannot browse or buy. You can still log in until 26 December 2026 and look at your products, orders and settings.
The store cannot move to another Weebly account. Network Solutions says transferring or converting the site to another Weebly account is not possible in these countries. So the shop needs a new home.
02 • about the archive
Does the Weebly archive include my store?
Not as a working store. The archive is a ZIP of published pages and files. Ultra Web Hosting's knowledge base notes that dynamic features stop working outside Weebly, and other Weebly-based help documents say store pages rely on Weebly's database and do not export. The cart, checkout and payments live on Weebly's servers, not in the ZIP.
You can save
- Product names, descriptions and prices
- Product photos
- Order history (by export or by hand)
- Customer names and emails you are allowed to keep
- Shipping and tax settings, written down
You cannot take
- The working cart and checkout
- Payment connections
- Coupon and discount logic
- Product reviews stored inside the store

How do I save my Weebly products, orders and customers?
- 1Log in on a computer and open your store settings.
- 2If your plan offers a product or order export, download it as a file and save two copies.
- 3If there is no export, copy each product into a spreadsheet: name, price, description, options (like size or colour) and stock level.
- 4Download every product photo at full size. Name the files after the product so you can match them later.
- 5Save your order history. Even a list of past orders by date and amount helps with accounts and repeat customers.
- 6Write down your shipping zones, rates and tax settings. You will need to enter them again on the new platform.
- 7Download the site archive too. Here is how.
Customer data
Only keep customer details you are allowed to keep, and only use them in the ways your customers agreed to. A short note telling past customers about your new shop address is usually fine; a mass marketing campaign may not be.

Where should I move my Weebly store?
Pick the platform that suits how you sell. Check that it accepts payments in your country first. That one check rules out more options than any feature list.
| Option | Good for | Check first |
|---|---|---|
| Shopify | Stores that sell online every day | Payment options in your country |
| Wix or Squarespace | Small shops alongside a service business | Payments and shipping in your country |
| Square Online | Businesses already using Square to take payments | Square only operates in a small number of countries, so confirm yours is one |
| Custom-built site | A tailored shop or a simple catalogue with order requests | Who maintains it, and how you will take payment |

How do I keep selling while my store is offline?
- Take orders by phone, WhatsApp or email for now, with a simple price list.
- Share your bestsellers on your social pages with a 'message to order' note.
- Tell repeat customers personally that the new shop is coming.
- Move your domain first, so the new shop opens at the same address. Domain guide.
