Weebly in Riyadh: How to Save Your Site and .sa Domain
Riyadh businesses lost their Weebly sites on 27 September 2026 because Saudi Arabia is one of the 67 countries Weebly is leaving, and account login closes on 26 December 2026. A .sa domain can be moved, but SaudiNIC's process needs an authentication code, approval from the domain's administrative contact and up to five days, so start now.
This page is for Riyadh. The Saudi Arabia guide covers Arabic content and the national picture.

Is Weebly still available in Riyadh?
Weebly login ends 26 December 2026
—
Counted from today on your device. After this date there is no login, so no downloads.
No. Saudi Arabia is on Weebly's list, so the shutdown covers Riyadh along with Jeddah, Dammam and the rest of the Kingdom. Publishing stopped on 29 June 2026, sites were unpublished on 27 September 2026, and login ends on 26 December 2026.
The site is gone from public view, but the content is still in your account until login ends. Save it first; everything else on this page depends on having it.
02 • your .sa domain
How does a .sa domain transfer work?
SaudiNIC, the registry for .sa, publishes a clear procedure for moving a domain between registrars. It is stricter than a .com transfer, so it pays to understand it before you start.
- 01
Get the code
Request the authentication code from the registrar you are leaving.
- 02
Request the transfer
Submit the code to your new registrar.
- 03
Admin contact approves
The domain's administrative contact must approve. A rejection stops the transfer.
- 04
Registry and old registrar
SaudiNIC notifies the old registrar, which notifies the admin contact.
- 05
Completion
It completes on approval, or after five days with no permitted objection.
- No transfer within 60 days of first registration, or within 60 days of a previous transfer.
- No transfer if the domain expires within five days.
- The transfer includes a renewal of one to ten years, priced by the new registrar. SaudiNIC says registrars may not charge a separate transfer fee.
Who is your administrative contact?
If Weebly registered the domain for you, find out who is listed as the administrative contact before you start. Their approval is required. Ask Weebly support, because Weebly says country-code domains need its help.
03 • rules for selling online
What must a Riyadh business show on its new website?
If you sell online, Saudi Arabia's e-commerce rules expect certain details to be visible. Law firm Al Tamimi & Co summarises them as your full name, address and contact details, your commercial registration (CR) number, your tax registration number if you have one, your privacy policy, and how you handle complaints.
- Business name as registered, with your CR number
- Riyadh address and a working phone or WhatsApp number
- VAT number, if you are registered
- A privacy policy in plain language
- How customers can complain or ask for a refund
Weebly sites often had these in a small footer, or not at all. A rebuild is the right moment to get them right. If you are unsure what applies to your business, check with the Ministry of Commerce or a local adviser.
04 • the new site
What should a new Riyadh business website include?
- Arabic pages built right to left from the start, with English if you serve expatriate or business customers.
- Your district and the areas you cover, such as Al Olaya, Al Malqa or the north of the city, written on the page.
- WhatsApp and call buttons that stay on screen on phones.
- Prices in SAR where you can share them.
