Weebly Shutting Down in the UAE: What to Do
Yes, Weebly is shutting down in the United Arab Emirates: UAE sites were unpublished on 27 September 2026, and account login ends on 26 December 2026. If your domain ends in .ae, you need Weebly support's help to transfer it, so contact them now rather than in December.

Khaleej Times broke the news for UAE owners on 5 July 2026, after Weebly emailed customers. The UAE is one of 67 countries on the list, alongside Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Oman in the Gulf. The dates are the same as everywhere else: no new pages from 29 June, sites offline from 27 September, and no login after 26 December 2026.
If you run a café in Dubai, a clinic in Abu Dhabi or a trading company in Sharjah on Weebly, your public site is already gone. What remains is your account, and the window to save what is inside it.

How do I transfer a .ae domain from Weebly?
Domains ending in .ae are the UAE's country-code domains. They are overseen by the .ae Domain Administration (.aeDA), which sits under the UAE's Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority. Country-code domains have their own rules, set locally, which is why they do not always follow the standard transfer steps.
Weebly says country-code domains need help from Weebly support. Khaleej Times passed on the same advice to UAE owners. Do not wait for the standard Registrar Lock and EPP code route to work on its own.
- 1Check exactly how your domain ends: .ae, or a second-level ending such as .co.ae.
- 2Choose a registrar that handles .ae domains, and open an account in your own name.
- 3Contact Weebly support. Say: 'My business is in the UAE and I need to transfer my .ae domain before the shutdown. What do you need from me?'
- 4Do not change the registrant contact details before the move. Weebly warns this starts a 60-day lock.
- 5Keep every reply from support, with dates, until the transfer is complete.

What should UAE businesses save from Weebly?
- Site archive ZIP for every site you run
- Account data from My Data
- Both language versions of your text, if your site was in Arabic and English
- Your trade licence details and address as shown on the site, for your new pages
- Your WhatsApp and phone links, so customers can still reach you
- Product list and prices in AED, if you sold online
