Weebly Site Unpublished? Here Is What to Do Next
If your Weebly site went offline on or after 27 September 2026, it was unpublished as part of Weebly's shutdown in 67 countries; it is not a fault on your side and you cannot republish it. You can still log in until 26 December 2026 to download your content and move your domain, so do that first and then plan a new site.
01 • what happened
Why is my Weebly site not showing?
Weebly is winding down in 67 countries. On 27 September 2026, it unpublished every site in those countries. Unpublished means taken offline. Your pages are still inside your account, but visitors cannot see them.
Before that, on 29 June 2026, Weebly stopped owners in these countries from publishing new pages. If you tried to update your site over the summer and the button did nothing, this is why.
Check your country first
Use the country checker to confirm. If your country is not on the list, your site being down is a different problem, and you should contact Weebly support.
02 • the short answer
Can I republish my Weebly site?
No. In the affected countries, publishing is switched off for good. Network Solutions, which resells Weebly, also says it is not possible to transfer or convert the site to another Weebly account. There is no setting or upgrade that brings it back.
This is hard news if your site brought in calls or orders. But it also makes the decision simple. The site has to move. The only question is how fast you can get a new one live.

What can I still do before 26 December 2026?

Weebly sites in these countries were taken offline. Visitors now see nothing.

Login ends
Last day to sign in, download your data and move your domain. After this, there is no login access.
You still have login access until 26 December 2026. In that window you can download your data, archive each site, unlock your domain and ask support about email. After it, all of that closes.
- 1Log in today and check you can still get in. If you forgot your password, reset it now, not in December.

- 3Take a screenshot of every page so you remember how it looked.
- 4Unlock your domain and get the EPP code. Domain guide.
- 5If your email uses Google Workspace through Weebly, ask support to move it to Google. Email guide.
04 • while you are offline
How do I stop losing customers while my site is down?
Your website is gone for now, but your customers can still find you in other places. Use those while the new site is built.
- Update your Google Business Profile with your phone number and opening hours, and remove the dead website link for now.
- Pin a short post on your social pages: "Our new website is coming soon. Call or message us at…"
- Add your phone number or WhatsApp to your email signature.
- Tell regular customers directly, especially if they used to order online.
Once your domain has moved to a registrar you control, you can point it to a simple holding page in an afternoon. That stops visitors seeing an error while the full site is built.
05 • google and your ranking
Will an offline Weebly site hurt my Google ranking?
Pages that stay offline for a long time tend to drop out of search results. Google cannot show a page it cannot reach. The good news is that your domain name carries your history. If you keep the same domain and put a new site on it quickly, you give yourself the best chance of recovering.
Two things help. Keep the same page addresses where you can, for example /services or /contact. And make sure the new site covers the same topics as the old one, using the text you saved.
06 • the way back
How do I get my website back online?
Getting back online means a new site on a new platform, using your own domain. You can build it yourself on a builder, or have it built for you. Our comparison of Weebly alternatives is honest about which suits whom.
If you want this off your plate, I will design your new homepage in 48 hours, free, using the content you saved. You decide after you see it.
